Customizable Retention

Axcient customizable retention allows you to set backup retention periods for your onsite and offsite backups, with just a few clicks. You decide how long you want to keep your backups; Axcient takes care of the rest.

The Axcient customizable retention feature is designed to give businesses and IT providers more control over backup files and use of onsite storage space. With just a few clicks, Axcient allows you to:

• Set backup retention periods for your onsite and offsite backups
• Maximize your storage space by automatically deleting older backups
• Ensure you always have enough space on your onsite appliance to backup your most recent files
• Change your backup retention settings at any time

For example, if you set a six-month retention period, Axcient will discard any backup data that is six months or older in order to make way for newer data. BOOM. That’s all there is to it.

Rest assured that you can change your customized retention settings at any time. Just log back in and, with a couple of clicks, readjust your backup retention period so that you always have ample storage space on your onsite appliance.
