Axcient, the leading provider of data backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery services to the SMB market, is looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to provide technical support to Axcient IT service resellers.

Position Description
This position reports to the Director of Sales Operations and supports the continued efforts to increase Axcient’s MSP and Reseller Partner base through lead generation, qualification and appointment setting for Axcient’s Regional Sales Managers. Works as part of a team to prospect and qualify potential partners in the Axcient Partner Program. This position requires an enthusiastic personality with a positive attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a basic understanding of relevant technology and software solution selling. Also required is the ability to work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect for new MSP and Reseller Partner opportunities for various Axcient sales regions
- Qualify new opportunities based on technical, financial, and business fit
- Develop new opportunities to the point of scheduled call for a Regional Sales Manager
- Ensure account profile and contact information is accurately recorded in Salesforce
- Work with Regional teams and Sales Management to coordinate prospecting efforts
- Coordinate with the Technical Account Manager’s calendar for demos and webinars
- Use Salesforce.com to track communications with current and prospective customers, update lead scoring and ensure efficient lead management and dissemination
- Consistently achieve opportunity quotas to deliver optimal sales pipeline
- Perform other related duties as may be defined by Director of Sales Operations
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of sales qualification methods
- Knowledge of, and proficiency in, modern business written and verbal communication
- Skill to use a personal computer and relevant systems, including MS Office applications, e-mail, and Salesforce.com platform solutions
- Ability to work closely with Sales Team to exceed individual and team goals
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and meet objectives without supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study
- Minimum 1-2 years of previous outbound dialing experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Works well in a collaborative and consensus-oriented team environment
- Strong sense of customer focus and the importance of the voice of the customer
